day of May 1781.
Who being on Oath say and first the said Harbin Elderton< no role >
says
that in the Night of Wednesday last the 9th. instant, the House
and Warehouse of Mr. Squibb in Charles Street
Berkley Square
(in which Warehouse this Informants had deposited a Quantity
of Lace now produced of the Value of One thousand Pounds
and upwards for sale) was broke open and the said
Lace Feloniously taken and carried away. And the said

says that on Sunday last he apprehended
two persons now present who call themselves John
Mc Neil< no role >
and William John Richley< no role >
, together in one Room,
in Turnmill Street
, in which said Room he found the Lace
now produced and claimed by the said Mr Elderton; together with
the several picklock keys now produced, under a Bed. And
the said Charles Jealous< no role >
says that on Monday last he
went to the House of Mr. Squibb in Charles Street
aforesaid
in order to discover whether any of the said Keys would open
the Street-door thereof, when the Key now produced by this
Informant opened it with great care.
