bearing date the Fifth day of July last Past she this Deponent was
removed to the Parish of Saint John Southwarke in the County of
Surry being the Place where she this Deponent was last legally Settled
by Virtue of her living there as a hired Servant for a year together with
her illegitimate Child William Bowyer< no role > This name instance is in set 2172. This set is in the group(s): FamilyBowyer . aged four years & Seven Months
born in the Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate in the said County
of Middlesex who was directed to go with her for nurture till she age
of Seven Years That she this Deponent was thereupon with her said
Child received into the Workhouse of the said Parish of St John Southwarke
& soon after Carried before two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for
the County of Surry & Sworn to the birth of her child That she this Deponent
was Permitted to stay in this workhouse for about a Fortnight when [..] the
the Parish officers there insisted that she shod. Stay no longer there and
thereupon her said child was removed by a Pass Order to the said Parish
of St. Botolph Aldgate as to the Place of its Settlement and this Depont.
Saith That she never wilfully deserted the said child and the same still
Continues in her Custody as a Nurse child to be taken care of by her which
she is willing & desireous to do
