Examination Text | William Bates aged about 66 years lodging at Mrs Jones's in Hungerford Market in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he lived in and rented an house in Hungerford Market aforesaid for the space of seven years at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about five years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that he has no wife living. Sworn the 16th Day of January 1750 before James Fraser. |
