Examination Text | Mary West aged 21 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she never was married bound apprentice, but that she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Leaf a Milliner in Vinegar Yard in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year at the yearly wages of 3 pounds 10 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same about eight months ago, that she never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes, that she was delivered in the workhouse aforesaid of a female bastard child since dead.
