Examination TextMary Douggan aged 37 years and upwards lodging in Princes Street in Drury Lane upon her oath saith she is the wife of David Douggan (now a prisoner in the Borough Counter [sic], Surry) to whom she was married in Ireland 25 years ago, that he lived in and rented an house in Vinegar Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years and an half at the yearly rent of 14 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about four months ago and hath not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, that she hath eight children living by her said husband to wit Mary aged 19 years, a servant, Catherine aged 16 years, in Ireland, Margaret aged 14 years, Grace aged 11 years, Ann aged nine years, in Ireland, Robert and Thomas twins aged five years and upwards, and Hannah aged two years. Sworn the 14th Day July 1752 before Benjamin Cox.
