Examination Text | Adam Gray aged 40 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Waterman by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to William Russell a Waterman in Charles Court in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time out which expired about 17 years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant since. Taken in the workhouse the fourth Day of December 1752. |
