Examination Text | Elizabeth Ashby aged 17 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Margaret within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by an indenture (by the officers of the Parish of St Margaret aforesaid) untill she should attain age of 21 years or day of marriage to Andrew Collachan in Marygold Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served about six months, and then her Master removed into Salisbury Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and this Examinant with him, and there served about two months longer, and then her master ran away which is about four years and an half ago.
