Examination TextAlice Richardson aged 74 years and upwards lodging at Mr Williams in Turners Court in Bedfordbury in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Daniel Richardson (who died 21 years ago) to whom she was married at the Fleet about 29 years ago, that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to this Examinant's knowledge, that he was born in the County of Argyle in Scotland but the particular part she this Examinant cannot tell, and further of him she knoweth not, that she this Examinant before her intermarriage was a yearly hired servant to Mr Koyler at the end of Red Lyon Court (now Broad Court) in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of one year and a quarter at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging and there intermarried, that she never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the death of her said husband. Sworn the 1st August 1754 before Benjamin Cox.
