Examination TextMaria Wilkinson aged 30 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by an indenture for five years to Mr Rainsden a Mantua Maker in Dukes Street York Buildings in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served four years and three quarters and then parted by consent which is about 11 years ago, that she this Examinant never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the sixth Day of August 1754 before Benjamin Cox.
