Examination Text | John Barnett aged 39 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Margaret within the liberty of Westminster upon his oath saith that he is a Peruke Maker by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Elizabeth Fryar in (Long Alley) now Castle Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields of aforesaid and there served all his time out which expired 18 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since.
