Examination Text | John Sumner aged 23 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the parish St Margaret within the liberty of Westminster upon his oath saith that is a Taylor by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for five years to Mr John Blittenberg a Taylor in Oxendon Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served three years and then parted by consent which is in October 1752, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes, that he was married to his present wife Frances at the Fleet about 12 months ago. Sworn the 22nd of December 1753 before Benjamin Cox. |
