Examination Text | William Baker aged 21 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields passed from the Parish of St Giles in the ffields in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his Father John Baker is a Baker by trade and served seven years apprenticeship to Mr Julian a Baker in Castle Street by the Mews in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 10th day of December 1753 before Benjamin Cox. |
