Examination TextJohn Igoe aged about 55 years lodging at Mr Marrett's near opposite Argyle Buildings in Oxford Road upon his oath saith that he lived in and rented an house in Vinegar Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of three months at the yearly rent of 14 pounds besides taxes, quitted same upwards of four years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that he was married to his late wife Eleanor (who now lies dead and this Examinant's lodgings aforesaid) at May Fair Chapel five years ago by whom he hath two children living to wit Robert aged three years and upwards and Mary aged about six months both now with this Examinant. Sworn the 22nd Day of September 1755 before Benjamin Cox.
