Examination Text | Mary Croswell aged 35 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Thomas Croswell (gone from her) to whom she was married the ffleet six years ago, that he was a Taylor by trade and further of him she this Examinant knoweth not, that before her intermarriage while single and unmarried she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Mumford a Victualler in Bedfordbury in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of three years and an half at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same at the time of her marriage. Taken in the workhouse the 27th Day of October 1755. |
