Examination TextElizabeth Burt aged about 63 years passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she is the widow of John Burt (who died about 21 months ago) to whom she was married at the ffleet the fourth Day of January 1731-2, that he was a Poulterer by trade and lived in and rented an house in St Martin's Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of several years at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, that he quitted the same before his intermarriage with this Examinant, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes afterwards, nor hath she this Examinant nor been a yearly hired servant since the death of her said husband. Sworn the eighth day of October 1755 before Benjamin Cox.
