| Examination Text | Alice Holland aged 64 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Andrew Holborn above the Bars in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she is the widow of George Holland (who died 24 years ago), that since his death she lived in and rented an house in Vine Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of five months at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same last Christmas, that she had not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the third Day of August 1756 before Benjamin Cox. |
