Examination TextMary Gossley aged 22 years and upwards lodging at Mr Bode's in Vinegar Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr F[?] a Shoemaker in Russell Court in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly wages of 3 pounds and 10 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same about four years ago, that she hath not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant since. Sworn the 21st Day of July 1756 before Benjamin Cox.
