Examination TextWilliam Palmer aged about 63 years lodging at Mr Hagan's a Staymaker in that part of Denmark Court which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Staymaker by trade and lived in and rented an house near Mays Buildings in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 10 years at the yearly rent of 31 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about four months ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that he was married to his present wife Mary at the Church in the Savoy 30 years ago. Sworn the 22nd Day of July 1756 before George Errington.
