| Examination Text | Esther Treasure aged 28 Years upon her Oath saith that she was bound Apprentice by the Officers of the Parish of Putney by Indenture to Mr Cooper a Glover in Russell Court in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and there served her said Master under the said Indenture for the space of Seven Months when her said Master went away and left her, that she was never assigned all were nor served any other Pearson with house said Masters privity or consent being a yearly hired Seven and any place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her voluntary Oath further saith that she is no great with Child or Children , which is or are likely to be Born a Bastard or are Bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that Robert Bummell Uzi Porter & Lodges at No 19 little Saint Anns Lane had several Times carnal Knowledge of her Body at one of which Times did beget her was the Child or Children she now goeth with & is pregnant of and that he the said Robert Brummell is the true & only ffather thereof & no Man else. Sworn this 20th day of January 1794 before John Collick Esther Treasure her Mark. |
