| Examination Text | Rebeccah Clement aged about 29 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of William Clement (who died about two years ago) to whom she was married at Lancaster about 10 years ago, that her said husband hath informed this Examinant that he her said husband was born in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields, that he never was bred to any business, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to this Examinant's knowledge. Taken in the workhouse the 24th Day of December 1764. |
