| Examination Text | John Walter aged 47 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he was born in Vinegar Yard in the Parish aforesaid, that he was bred to the Sea, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his father was a Butcher by trade, but where he learnt the same he cannot tell, that he was born at Bruton in the County of Somerset, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to this Examinant's knowledge.
