Examination Text | Sarah Fenton aged 26 years in the workhouse as aforesaid upon her oath saith that she is the wife of John Fenton (a soldier and gone abroad) to whom she was married at the ffleet nine years ago, that before his intermarriage he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Pinner, Inn-Keeper in St Martin's Lane in the Parish aforesaid for the space of four years (but what wages he had she cannot tell) diet and lodging, that he hath not done any act to gain a subsequent settlement. Taken as aforesaid the 10th November 1761. |
