Examination Text | Mary Jones aged 44 years lodging at Mr Webster's in Play House Passage in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of William Jones, that since his death (having only one child living who had gained a subsequent settlement, that of her father) she was a yearly hired servant to the said Mr Webster as abovesaid for the space of one year and three months at the yearly wages of 4 pounds and 10 shillings diet and lodging, and was discharged her said service the first instant. Sworn the third Day of October 1760 before Thomas Kynaston. |
