Examination TextEleanor Hester aged 80 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was passed from the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex, that she was bound an apprentice by an indenture for five years to Mr John Trevors, a Child's Coat Maker in York Buildings in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all the said time out, since the expiration of which said time she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together. Taken in the workhouse the 12th Day of August 1760.
