Examination TextHannah Tanner aged 46 years passed Parish of St Leonard Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of George Tanner (gone a soldier in the East India Company service) to whom she was married at the Fleet the 11th Day of March in the year 1747, that her said husband is a Cordwainer by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to his Father George Tanner a Cordwainer in the Parish of St. John the Evangelist within the liberty of Westminster and there served about five years and an half, and then was assigned over to Mr Lyzner a Cordwainer in Hedge Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all his said time out, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the expiration of his said apprenticeship, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit William aged four years and upwards now with this Examinant, and that she this Examinant is now pregnant. Sworn the 27th Day of April 1765 before Peter Planck.
