Examination TextJohn Schott aged 67 years lodging at Mr Keat's in Charles Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Andrew Fling a Waterman in Hungerford Market in the Parish aforesaid and there served all the said term of seven years, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the expiration of his said apprenticeship, that he was married to his present wife [Tace] at St Martins Church in this Parish about five years ago. Sworn the second Day of January 1767 before Peter Planck.
