Examination Text | Elizabeth Harrison aged 21 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. James within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Penny, Park Keeper at the Stable Yard in St James's Park in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, for the space of three years at the yearly wages of 3 pounds 10 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same two years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse the second Day of October 1767. |
