Examination TextJohn Nealson aged about 30 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he hath been informed and verily believes that he was born in that part of Castle Street near Long Acre which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, that he never was bound an apprentice, kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his Father [blank] Nealson was a Taylor by trade and as he this Examinant hath been informed was born in the city of Glasgow in that part of Great Britain called Scotland, that his Father never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together in England to this Examinant's knowledge. Taken in the workhouse the ninth day of October 1767.
