Examination TextJoshua Evans aged 46 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex upon his oath saith that he is a Cordwainer by trade and lived in and rented an house in Dirty Lane in Long Acre in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly rent of 10 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about seven years ago, that he hath not kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse the 13th Day of February 1769.
