Examination Text | Elizabeth Shephard aged 34 years destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Stanley a Coachmaker near Drury Lane in Long Acre in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about nine years ago, that she hath not been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the second Day of June 1769 before Peter Planck. |
