Examination TextThe Examination of Mary Taylor destitute of lodging taken this sixth Day of October 1775. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 18 years of age, that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Price a Victualler at the sign of the Kings Arms the corner of Hanover Street in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half (all under one hiring) at the yearly wages of 3 pounds diet and lodging, that she quitted the said service about two years ago, that she (this Examinant) hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the day and year first above written before J. Treslove.
