Examination Text | Euphen Lumesden aged 59 years upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Charles Lumesden (who died in the year 1753), that since the death of her said husband (having only one daughter then living who was married) she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Naish in Fountaine Court in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years and an half all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 7 pounds and lodging, that she quitted the said service about three years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the seventh Day of October 1773 before Thomas Kynaston. |
