Examination Text | Mary Reay aged about 69 years lodging at Mr Man's in Monmouth Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields on her oath saith that she is the widow of John Reay who died about 12 months ago, that since the death of her said husband she lived in and rented an house in Spring Gardens in the Parish aforesaid for the space of six months at the yearly rent of 50 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same last March, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the fourth Day of November 1785 before John Collick. |
