Examination Text | Elizabeth Green aged 24 years last January lodging at Mr Martin's a Chairman in Eagle Court in the Parish of St Martin the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Lowling a Chandler opposite the sign of the Artichoke in that part of White Hart Yard which is in the Parish aforesaid for the space of 16 months all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about three months ago. Sworn the 16th Day of September 1774 before J. Treslove. |
