Examination TextMargaret Kent aged 40 years lodging at No.9 in Market Lane in the Parish of St. James Westminster on her oath saith that she is the wife of Richard Kent (who refuses to provide for her) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of Greenwich in the County of Kent the 30th Day of June in the year of our Lord 1766, that her said husband is a Coach Painter and lived in and rented an house in Long Acre known by the sign of the Bulls Head near Drury Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years and about five months at the yearly rent of 40 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same 15 years ago, that he her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath one child by her said husband to wit Thomas aged seven years the 10th day of November next. Sworn the 11th Day of October 1785 before William Hyde.
