Examination TextAnn Clarke aged about 50 years lodging at Mr Barrett's a Taylor in Great Suffolk Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of George Clarke (who died 29 years ago), that since the death of her said husband having no child living she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Barrett aforesaid for the space of two years at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about September 1761, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 20th Day of March 1780 before William Hyde.
