Examination TextFrances Budd aged 32 years and upwards lodging in Hemmings Row in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields on her oath saith she is the widow of Edward Bud (who died the seventh Day of May instant) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St Anne within the liberty of Westminster the third of October in the year 1757, that her said husband was a Flute maker by trade and lived in and rented an house in Hemmings Row aforesaid for the space of one year and an half at the yearly rent of 28 pounds besides taxes, and that her said husband died in the occupation of the said house, that she hath three children by her said husband to wit Jane [Poleham] aged seven years the 24th August last now with Mr Thomas Budd a Musician at Richmond in Surry, Frances Ann aged four years the sixth of March last and James born 11th Day of March last now with this Examinant. Sworn the 20th Day of May 1778 before J. King.
