Examination TextThe Examination of Jane Formson lodging a house let out in tenements in Kings Court in Russell Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken this 27th Day of June 1778. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is about 38 years of age, that she never was married, that she was on the 12th Day of March in the year 1762 delivered at a house in Bandy-Legg Walk in the Parish of St Saviour in Southwark in the County of Surry of a male bastard child (since christened John) yet living and hath been chargeable to the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, which said John never was bound an apprentice nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, and that he is now gone aboard a ship a war.
