Examination TextThomas Camber aged 14 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he was (by the officers of the Parish of St Martin in the Fields) bound an apprentice by an indenture bearing the date the 12th Day of April in the year 1775 untill he should attain the age of 21 years to John Wengell a Peruke maker in Lombard Court in the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex, and there served his said master for the space of four months and then left by his said master's approbation and consent, went and served Mr Holmes an Engraver at the Swan the corner of George Street in Oxford Street in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex and there served the said Mr Holmes for the space of three months, and then was at large and went and work'd for himself. Sworn the ninth day of January 1778 before Thomas Bullard, John Makinen.
