| Examination Text | The Examination of Mary Towers living in and renting an house in Chymisters Alley in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken this 30th October 1776. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 59 years of age, that she is the widow of Cornelius Towers (who died in the year 1763), that since the death of her said husband she this Examinant lived in and rented an house in Chymisters Alley in the Parish aforesaid for the space of one year and three quarters at the year at the yearly rent of 12 pounds besides taxes and yet continues to rent the same. Sworn the day and year abovesaid before Thomas Bullard. |
