Examination Text | The Examination of Margt. Blake Removed by an Order of Removal from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields taken this 26th Day of November in the year 1782. This Examinant on her Oath saith That she is 58 years of age, That she never was Married Bound an Apprentice kept house rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor been a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve months together, That her Father John Blake (who died about twenty two years ago) was Bound an Apprentice by an Indenture for seven years to [blank] Pritchard a Bed stead maker in that part of White Hart yard by Drury Lane which is in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served his said Master all the said term out, as her Father hath Informed this Examinant, That her Father never kept house rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor was a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve months together after the Expiration of his said Apprenticeship to this Examinant's Knowledge.
