Examination TextJohn Williams aged near seventy years lodging in Bowl Yard in the Parish of St Giles in the Fields Saith he is a Shoemaker and kept a house in James Street being the second on the right Hand from Long Acre in the parish of St Martin in the Fields for which he paid fourteen pounds by the year Rent and all Parish Taxes for two Years together and that he quitted it near fourty Years ago and that he never rented the Value often pounds yearly or paid any parish Taxes since that he hath been a Widower about eight or nine Years and hath two Daughters by Eleanor his late wife to wit Mary aged about eight & twenty never bound an Apprentice is marryed to Jeremiah Matthews a Mason in Milk Street in Bristol and Elizabeth about twenty now also at Bristol but was never marryed a yearly hired Servant or Apprentice as he this Examinant knows Sworn the 28th Day of Novemr 1737 before Jas Fraser The mark of John Williams
