Examination TextAnn Champion aged thirty four years lodging at one Ward's a perukemaker in Hopkin Street in the Parish of St James Westmr: where she hath lodged nine weeks Saith she is the wife of William Champion to whom she was marryed at the Portuguese Chapell in Warwick Street in the said Parish of St James eight years ago Saith that he is by Trade a Shoemaker and was bound an Apprentice by Indenture for seven years to one Mr Eldridge then living in Castle Street above the Meuse in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and that he served the whole time of his Apprenticeship there which expired several years before their Marriage and that he never kept House or rented ten pounds by the year paid any parish Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant since hath one Child named Ann aged one Quarter of a year born at Mr Lyddalls in Mercer Street
