Examination TextThe Examination of Eleanor Moore Singlewoman taken on Oath this Day of } Who on her Oath Saith that she is about Twenty Six Years of Age and that she was removed from the parish of Saint Bennett at Pauls Wharf London That she was born at Newcastle upon Tine from whence she came to London about seven years agoe and that she was a yearly hired Servant upwards of Two years to one Mr Smith a Chymist in the Strand in the parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that she had five pounds by the year wages Diet and Lodging and left her said Service about five years agoe And never kept House never rented ten pounds by the year paid any Parish Taxes or was a yearly hired servant a year together in any Service afterwards And she on her Voluntary Oath further saith that she is now great with Child which is likely to be born a Bastard and to be chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields And that one Henry Henderson heretofore a Journeyman to the said Mr Smith and who cohabited with her several years as Man and Wife had several Times the carnal knowledge of her Body at their Lodging at the House of one in Thames Street in the Parish of Saint Bennett at Pauls Wharf London aforesaid And that he the said Henry Henderson did beget her with Child, of the Child or Children she now goeth with and is pregnant of and that he is the true and only ffather thereof and no Man else Sworn the Day and Year above written before
