Examination TextPhillippi Smutt aged about Twenty Eight Years in the Work House past from Saint Andrew Holborn Saith she is the Wife of James Smutt gone from her about a year agoe to whom she was married at the ffleet about three years agoe that he was by Trade a Boner of Stays and hath heard him say that he served his Time somewhere in Yorkshire where he was born but whereabouts there never heard and that her husband never kept house rented Ten pounds by the Year paid any Parish Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant as she ever heard Saith that she this Examinant was born in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes and that she was a yearly hired Servant before Marriage upwards of three years to one Mr Burnley a Scourer in Shandois Street in this Parish had three pounds by the year Wages Diet and Lodging and never lived a year together in any Service since Hath two Children Elizabeth aged about two Years and Robert aged about ffour Months both born in Saint Andrew's Parish
