Examination Text | Margaret McDougal aged 69 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of [blank] McDougal (who died [blank] years ago), that since the death of her said husband (having no child living) she this Examinant was a yearly hired servant to Mr Wright, a Baker near Church Court in the Strand in the Parish abovewritten for the space of one year and upwards at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about [blank] years ago, that she hath not kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse the 13th Day of January 1772. |
