Examination TextElizabeth Wycot aged about 45 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. Mary White Chapel in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Nicholas Wycot (gone from her to) whom she was married at the Parish Church of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex the 15th August 1758, that her said husband is a Brewer's Servant and lived in and rented a house in Bedfordbury in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of seven years at the yearly rent of 14 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about four years ago, that her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath two children living by her said husband to wit Charlotte aged nine years and upwards and Eleanor aged seven years and upwards both now with this Examinant. Taken in the workhouse of 26th Day of August 1771. [In the margin:] Nicholas her husband removed from St Luke Chelsea 23 December 1791.
