| Examination Text | Isabella Johnston aged 26 years in the workhouse saith she is the wife Stephen Johnson [sic] (who has been gone from her two months and where he is now knows not having never heard from him since), that he is a Taylor a served his time in Exeter Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields as she hath heard him say, that he was born in Scotland and knows not how long it is since he came from thence, that she was married to him at a Church in a Street on the side of the Market at Newcastle four years ago and that he never kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant.
