Examination Text | Mary Limber aged 21 years lodging at Mrs. Poland's in Angel Court in Drury Lane where she hath lodged about three months saith she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by indenture to one Mrs Freeman in Burleigh Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields whom she there served five years, and then her mistress died and she never was turned over to any other person, and that she hath since been a yearly hired servant to one Mr Scott Master Taylor in Turners Court in Bedfordbury in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid where she there served near two years, had 5 pounds per ann. wages diet and lodging, came thence almost three years ago and hath not kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant since. Sworn the 11th Day of September 1739 before Val Hilder. |
