| Examination Text | Anne Mumford aged 32 years in the workhouse saith that she never was married bound apprentice kept house rented £10 per ann. paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant, that she was born at Brutton near Ripon in Yorkshire, and that her father Christopher Mumford a Letter Carrier in the General Post Office kept house in Middle Court in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for 13 years and upwards for which he paid 13 or 14 pounds per ann., quitted the said house about six years ago and then had a place in the Salt Office and is now at Preston Pans by Leith in Scotland.
